In addition to the on-snow portion of this camp, Southern Alberta Freestyle Ski Club's competition and competition development athletes will also participate in a variety of dryland activities (ie. Trampoline, water ramping, soccer etc.) lead by our coaches. This camp allows athletes to continue to advance their freestyle ski skills in preparation for the upcoming winter season. It also gives athletes the opportunity to ski along side provincial and national level athletes, as well as a number of Olympians and pro skiers, who all migrate to the glacier in Whistler for the summer. This camp is a ton of fun!!

Below is a SAMPLE of a typical Day at the Summer Camp: Schedules vary from year to year.

7:45am- Meet Coaches at the bottom of the Blackcomb Base (near Merlin's Restaurant), athlete will receive lift tickets here

8:00am- Head up to the glacier as a team

9:00-1:00pm- Ski (three days will be mogul specific and three days will be slopestyle specific)-- Athletes will be required to bring a bagged lunch to all sessions

2:00pm- Download as a team and meet parents or guardians at the base of Blackcomb

4:00-6:00pm- Dryland activity planned by coaches (start and end times will vary depending on the activity, but this gives a rough estimation)

** There will also be a team pot luck dinner planned for one evening during the trip (ideally on the last evening to get rid of all the extra food everyone will have!)

Stay tuned for more details!!
