Southern offers extensive weekly training throughout the summer and fall months consisting of training on airbag, trampoline and dry rails. It is an essential "off season" training tool and commitment to regular training will be directly reflected in the athletes' development on snow. Athletes who would like to do inverts on skis and in competition are required to qualify their tricks. Only once they have successfully completed the skills on trampoline will they be ready to try them out on the airbag and/or water ramp. Athletes typically require around 15 days, or 50+ well executed jumps, to attempt to begin the qualification process.
