Jacob McCartney

Coach

Jacob first joined a freestyle ski club when he was 12 years old and enjoyed competing and travelling with his club.  His most significant achievement was winning the gold medal in the men’s U18 half-pipe competition at Alberta Champs and winning first place overall in the half-pipe category.  One of his most cherished memories was competing in the Alberta Winter Games.

Jacob is also studying Physical and Health Education - Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership at MRU.  He wants to use his experience in ski clubs and his education to build and establish his own skiing business.

When he’s not skiing, you’ll find him skateboarding, mountain biking or hiking.  Prior to skiing, soccer was his primary competitive sport, which allowed him to travel extensively through Alberta, BC and the USA.
